What are School Nurses?
- They are registered professional nurses responsible for protecting and promoting the health of all students. They have licenses issued by the Wisconsin Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- They have obligations to students, parents, school staff, community and their nursing profession.

Health Assistants
The School Health Assistant supports the daily operations of the School Health Office under the supervision of the School Nurse (RN) or school administrator. This role provides basic medical support and medication administration. Health Assistants will communicate with families, teachers, and the School Nurse regarding student health concerns, complete required documentation, and provide follow-up care.
